I thought this book was okay. It really wasn't my type of book. I would recommend it to girls who like gossip!

Best Friends for Never by Lisi Harrison Massie
In this story, Massie Block has a crush on a boy named Cam who goes to Briarwood, Octavian Country Day's sister school. So, at Massie's Halloween party, she tries talking to him. She gets really nervous and decides not to talk to him. Later that night, Massie tries to call him, but he ignores her call. Later the next day, Massie confronts Cam and asks him why he ignored her phone call. He said he thought she was too scared to talk to her in person. The rest of the story explains how Massie tries to win Cam's heart.
The Tale of Despereaux by Kate DiCammilo
After hearing many stories about this book, I decided to pick it up. I’m glad I did. The story revolves around a young mouse with very large ears that lives in a castle. Having a heart of adventure, Despereaux explores the castle, only to find the young Princess Pea. He immediately falls in love with her and speaks to her. Now, this is the most important rule to mice: never talk to humans. After speaking to the Princess, Despereaux is thrown into the dungeon by the council of mice, and the real adventure begins. This book is about medium in size but is a very easy and fun read. I would highly recommend this to anybody who likes a taste of adventure and tales of mice, rats, and troubled humans.

Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer
Breaking Dawn is the last book in the Twilight series. It was about a girl named Bella and a vampire named Edward. Bella is in love with Edward, but he is a vampire so he is very strong and always afraid of hurting her, so Bella wants to become a vampire also. There is only one other complication in their realationship: Jacob Black. Jacob is a werewolf; werewolves and vampires are long time enemies. Jacob is Bella's best friend, but Jacob loves her as something more. So Bella has a hard choice. For Edward to change Bella into a vampire, though, Edward says that they have to be married first. So they get married and go on a honeymoon to an island. On their honeymoon, Bella gets pregnant. This is usually impossible, though, because Edward is a vampire. The baby is half vampire and very strong. It is beating Bella up on the inside. You will just have to read the rest to find out what happens next. I would recomend this book for 12 and up because of the hard vocabulary. Also I recommend this book more for girls because it is a love story.

Breaking the Silence by Diane Chamberlain
I read the book Breaking the Silence by Diane Chamberlain. This book was about a woman named Laura Brandon and her daughter Emma, who find out about the past while trying to break Emma's silence. Emma started not talking right after her "father" killed himself in front of her. Laura thinks he killed himself because of her father's dying wish, for her to go visit and take care of a woman named Sarah Tolley. Laura ends up finding a lot about herself during this book including Emma's real father and why her dad made sure she looked after Sarah. I'd recommend this book for kids in high-school and up because its about 400 pages, and it has some strong dialogue. This is a good book if you like mysteries with some romance. You find yourself not wanting to put the book down; it's a great book.
